you can't draw from both pickups if one is dry so the question becomes how do you trigger that change and restore the original state when the pickup is good again. In sucessive left and rights turns like a slalom you'd need to be quick and accurate with the changes so that the system itself doesnt cause oiling problems.
It would definitely be interesting to see inside the BMW pump... too bad they are so sought after and expensive.
